Pricing

The app is free to use, properly — not a trial that expires. Premium lifts the barcode limit and adds cloud receipt backup and exports. A free trial is offered where your Apple ID is eligible, and no card is needed to use the free version.

What happens if you stop paying

Nothing is deleted, and nothing is locked. This matters enough to say plainly: if your subscription ends, your folders, products, purchase history, receipts, and every barcode you already have all keep working exactly as before. You can go on building folders and checking out indefinitely.

Only three things pause: adding new barcode-backed products beyond the free five, backing up receipt photos to the cloud, and exporting. Resubscribe and they come straight back. Your data is never held hostage to a payment.

Questions about paying

Is the free version really free?

Yes. No card, no expiry, no nagging. Folders, checkout, importing, and syncing between your devices all work on the free plan forever. The limit is on how many products can carry a barcode — five.

Why is there a limit on barcodes specifically?

Barcodes are the heart of what the app does at the register, so that's where Premium sits. It keeps everything else — folders, checkout, importing, syncing — genuinely free rather than putting the whole app behind a paywall.

How long is the free trial?

It depends on your Apple ID. A free trial is an Apple introductory offer, and Apple decides whether yours qualifies — generally it's for people who haven't had a trial on this subscription before. The app asks Apple directly, so if a trial is available to you, its exact length is shown before you confirm and again on Apple's own purchase sheet. If no trial is shown, your Apple ID isn't eligible and the subscription starts straight away.

How do I cancel?

On your iPhone: Settings › your name › Subscriptions › ProducePocket › Cancel. Cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends to avoid the next charge. Subscriptions are managed by Apple, so cancelling happens there rather than inside the app.

Does the subscription renew automatically?

Yes. Your Apple ID is charged within 24 hours before the current period ends, at your plan's price, unless you cancel first. Cancelling stops future charges and the period you've already paid for runs to its end.

Can I switch between monthly and yearly?

Yes, from the same Subscriptions screen on your iPhone. Apple handles the proration.

Can I get a refund?

Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple, not by us — request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. If something in the app went wrong, tell us and we'll fix it.

Will the price go up?

There are no plans to raise it. If it ever changed, existing subscribers would be told in advance, and Apple requires your explicit agreement before charging a higher price.

Is there a team or multi-user plan?

Not yet. One account covers all of your own devices. If you need several buyers on one catalog, get in touch — it helps to know there's demand.
