Terms of Use
Last updated: 1 October 2026
These terms apply to your use of the ProducePocket iPhone app. By using the app, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
1. Your account
You need an account to use ProducePocket. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in details secure and for activity that happens under your account. One account is for one person's use. You must be old enough to form a binding contract where you live.
2. Your data is yours
The catalog, folders, purchase records, and receipts you create belong to you. ProducePocket stores and syncs them so you can use them across your devices, and does not sell them, share them with suppliers, or use them for advertising. You can export your records at any time with an active subscription, and delete your account at any time.
3. Subscriptions
ProducePocket offers an optional auto-renewable Premium subscription, available as a monthly or an annual plan. Premium unlocks unlimited barcode-backed products, cloud backup of receipt photos, and data exports. Everything else in the app is available without a subscription.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID account when you confirm the purchase. The exact price and any free-trial length are shown in the app before you buy, in your local currency.
- The subscription renews automatically. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period, at the price for your plan, unless you cancel first.
- You can cancel any time in Settings › your name › Subscriptions on your iPhone. Cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends to avoid being charged again. Cancelling stops future charges; the current paid period runs to its end.
- A free trial is an Apple introductory offer and is not guaranteed — whether your Apple ID qualifies is determined by Apple, and any trial available to you is shown before you confirm. If a free trial is offered, any unused portion is forfeited when you buy a subscription covering the same period.
- Subscriptions are managed by Apple, and purchases and refunds are handled under Apple's terms. ProducePocket cannot issue refunds directly.
- A subscription is tied to the account that bought it and does not transfer to a different ProducePocket account.
If your subscription ends, nothing you already have is removed or locked. Your folders, products, receipts, and existing barcodes keep working. Only adding new barcode-backed products beyond the free allowance, cloud receipt backup, and exports become unavailable.
4. Acceptable use
Use ProducePocket for its intended purpose: managing your own produce purchasing. Do not use it unlawfully, attempt to break or probe its security, interfere with its servers, access another person's account or data, or upload content you have no right to upload.
5. Barcodes and the register — important
ProducePocket displays product barcodes on your phone screen so they can be scanned at a register. Whether a particular store's scanner can read a barcode from a screen, and whether a particular product rings up as you expect, depends on that store's equipment and its own pricing and policies — all outside ProducePocket's control.
Always confirm the final total and the receipt at the register. ProducePocket records what you tell it you paid; it does not process payments and is not a substitute for checking your own transaction.
6. Your records and backups
ProducePocket syncs your records so they survive a lost or replaced phone, and takes real care with your data. Even so, no software can guarantee that data is never lost. Keep your original supplier workbook, and export anything you cannot afford to lose. Exports are readable records of your data; they are not a file you can load back into the app to restore it.
7. Service availability and changes
Features may change, and parts of the service that depend on an internet connection may be unavailable at times. ProducePocket may update, change, or discontinue features. If a change materially affects how your data is handled, it will be reflected in the Privacy Policy before it ships.
8. Ending your use
You can stop using ProducePocket at any time and delete your account from within the app. Deletion is immediate and permanent, with no recovery window. Access may be suspended or ended for a serious or repeated breach of these terms.
9. Disclaimers and liability
ProducePocket is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent the law allows. To the extent permitted by law, ProducePocket is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost profits or business losses, arising from your use of the app. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
10. Apple
Apple is not a party to these terms and has no responsibility for the app or its content. Apple is not obliged to provide support for the app. These terms are between you and ProducePocket.
11. Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated. The date at the top of this page shows the current version. Continuing to use the app after an update means you accept the updated terms.
